Preventative maintenance prolongs the lifespan of the parts and tires, increasing efficiency in the vehicle’s performance.

Air Conditioning Service and Recharging (Quincy Location)

  • We recharge vehicle’s air conditioning systems adhering to the latest government environmental standards.
  • The old Freon in the system is evacuated and replaced with same exact type of gas that was comes stock with car.

Alignments

  • We use state of the art computerized equipment to perform a 4-wheel alignment.

Brake Inspection

  • Typical first signs that of brake wear are a low brake pedal and/or grinding noise.
  • We inspect the pads/shoes for condition and wear.
  • Visual inspection of master cylinder, calipers and flex hoses, wheel cylinders and brake lines for damage and leakage.

Charging System and Starter Evaluation

  • We test the alternator, starter, and battery for proper output and connections.
  • Inspect battery terminals and cables for deterioration.
  • Check belt tensions as necessary.
  • The life of a battery is typically 4-5 years. The damage is done during the summer. The problem manifests in the winter.

Cooling System Service.

  • Test for coolant protection

Diagnostic Work

  • MIL (check engine light)
  • We connect our diagnostic computer to the vehicle’s onboard computer, run tests, read trouble codes, test sensors and operation to make recommendations for repairs.

Exhaust

  • If your exhaust is not properly functioning you will pollute the environment and potentially fail your Massachusetts State Inspection.

Flat Tire Repair

  • Proper repair should ALWAYS be done with an inside patch.
  • Tires should be dismounted from the wheel
  • Puncture visually inspected.
  • We repair flats with the inside patch, rebalance, remove corrosion remove from wheel, and insert a new valve stem.
  • Run Flat Tires should not be repaired.

Front End Repair

  • Vibration problems are our specialty.

Massachusetts State Inspection (Dorchester Location)

  • You must have your registration with you to have your car inspected.
  • Demand is highest at the beginning and end of the month, which results in a longer wait time.
  • The length of the inspection process differs per car. We estimate an average time of 30 minutes per car.
  • A safety failure requires immediate repair.
  • An emissions failure results in a 60 day no penalty grace period to remedy the problem.

Oil Changes

  • We recommend every 3,000 miles.

Ride and Handling Service

  • We recommend an alignment once a year.
  • We inspect the front and rear suspension components for wear.

Rotation and Balancing

  • Every 6,000 miles.
  • Check and set air pressure to proper inflation.
  • Information can found on the side of the drivers’ side door
  • Improper Alignment, warn parts, under/or over inflation, lack of rotating and balancing can cause major tire wear, increased fuel consumption and handling problems.

Struts and Shocks

  • Recommended at 50,000 miles
  • Tip: Replacement of shocks and struts is also a safety issue.

Tune-ups

  • We recommend you follow the guidelines from your car manufacturer regarding mileage.

Wheel Balancing

  • Computerized wheel balancing for steel, alloy, or chrome rims ranging in size from 13″-20″.
